A custom stick isn't a special edition — it's a stick that didn't exist before you ordered it. You choose the model, size, flex, blade, handedness, grip and design yourself, and that exact stick is then built for you. Made by SOYUZ, the same manufacturer that equips pros in the KHL.

You select all of this directly in the configurator. A custom team logo is possible from 20 sticks upwards because of the production effort involved – that goes through team orders.

The model is the first and most important decision: it determines weight and kick point, meaning where the shaft loads up during the shot.

Choosing the right flex, length and blade

Length: as a rule of thumb, the stick reaches the tip of your nose without skates and your chin with skates on. If you've been playing for a while, go by habit rather than by the rule.

Flex: the lower the number, the more the shaft bends. Cutting the stick down makes it stiffer – if you adjust the length, factor that into the flex. Details in the hockey stick guide and in the guide to the right weight.

Blade: in the SOYUZ Curve Guide you can overlay two or three curves and see straight away which of our blades matches your current Bauer, CCM, Warrior or True curve. If you've been playing a Bauer P92, for example, the CCM equivalent is the P29.

Pro Custom – from 3 pieces

Pro Custom isn't a higher quality tier, it's a bigger selection: over 100 curves instead of the eleven standard blades, including pro stock shapes you can't buy in retail. The minimum order is 3 sticks – at the same price. It's worth it for teams, clubs, resellers and anyone looking for a specific pro stock curve.

Frequently asked questions about custom sticks

How long does delivery take?

Around 4–6 weeks from receipt of order, because every stick is produced individually. You'll get an email as soon as your stick goes into production. If you need a replacement sooner, you'll find sticks that arrive in 1–3 business days under In Stock.

Is a custom stick better than a stock stick?

Not in construction – same models, same carbon, same manufacturing. The difference is the fit: flex, length and blade are exactly yours instead of the most common combination.

What does a custom stick cost?

Between CHF 165 and CHF 268, depending on model and size. There's no surcharge for configuring it – flex, blade, length and lettering cost nothing extra.

Is there a warranty on custom sticks?

Yes, 30 days from receipt. If a manufacturing defect occurs within that time, we'll replace the stick free of charge – handled via the warranty form.

Can I order a goalie stick as a custom as well?

Yes, the SOYUZ LORD can be configured as a custom goalie stick.

What if I get the flex wrong?

Get in touch before you order – we'll go through the combination with you. Once production has started, an individually made stick can no longer be changed, so a quick question beforehand is the faster route.
