How to find your curve
You don't need to know the SOYUZ names. There are three ways to your blade:
- By the brand you play today. Type "P92", "P28", "W88" or "TC2" into the search – the guide shows every SOYUZ curve that has this pattern listed as an equivalent.
- By player. Search for a name like Radulov, McDavid or Tavares. 46 of the 116 curves list pros who ordered this blade from SOYUZ.
- By characteristics. Filter by curve type (heel, mid, toe), face, toe shape, stick model – and by whether the blade is available for left (LH) or right (RH) shooters.
If you have two favourites, put them side by side in the curve comparison or the 3D Curve Lab.
What the lie means – and why there are two numbers
The lie is the angle between shaft and the bottom edge of the blade. It decides whether the blade sits flat on the ice in your normal stance. The higher the number, the more upright the shaft.
Important: SOYUZ numbers the lie one point higher than CCM and Bauer. A SOYUZ blade printed "LIE 7" equals a CCM blade with lie 6 – SOYUZ measured this against CCM blades. So you can compare directly with your current stick, this guide, the configurator and the Curve Lab always show the CCM lie first and the number printed on the SOYUZ blade in brackets – e.g. Lie 6 (SOYUZ 7).
You don't have to calculate anything – your current stick tells you. Look at the tape on the bottom edge of the blade: if only the toe wears, your lie is too low; if only the heel wears, it is too high. Even wear means the lie fits. If your current CCM or Bauer stick says lie 5, look for "Lie 5 (SOYUZ 6)" with us.
Curve type: where the bend sits
The curve type describes where along the blade the bend starts – the characteristic with the biggest influence on how a blade feels.
For 48 pro blades the curve type has not been classified yet – the image or the comparison in the Curve Lab helps there.
Face and toe: opening and blade tip
- Face: an open face lifts the puck by itself – good for top-corner shots, a little trickier for flat passes. A closed face keeps the puck lower. Of the classified curves, 66 are open and 2 closed.
- Toe: a round toe is more agile for toe drags and tight battles, a square toe offers more surface for blocking and faceoffs. 64 curves have a round toe, 5 a square one.
From Bauer, CCM, Warrior or True to SOYUZ
The most common switches at a glance. The lie is shown as the CCM value, the SOYUZ number in brackets.
Brand equivalents are approximations, not identical blades. Two blades with the same name are not automatically the same – the SOYUZ P12, for example, is not the Bauer P12, and the SOYUZ P38 is not the CCM P38.
What "+1/4" means
Some curves carry the suffix +1/4: P28 +1/4, P29 +1/4, P88 +1/4, P90 +1/4, P25 +1/4 and P121 +1/4. It is not a different bend but a blade a quarter inch taller with the same base curve – more surface for shooting, receiving hard passes and blocking, at minimally more weight.
Availability: models, custom, LH and RH
Every card shows which models and which shooting side the curve can be ordered for. The basis is the current SOYUZ blade list.
- Standard models (STD PRO, AURORA, ARCANE, RAPID, HIT GRIT and MASTER FRST) – 101 curves. On these models the P92 is only available for HIT GRIT, AURORA and STD PRO; on ARCANE, RAPID and MASTER FRST choose the P29.
- Classic SPR – its own blade list with 25 curves, 15 of which exist only on the Classic SPR (e.g. P92M, P8TM, P02).
- Custom from 1 stick: P28, P28M, P29, P29 +1/4, P86, P88, P90TM and P92 (Classic SPR: P28, P86, P88, P92). All other blades are Pro Custom from 3 sticks – at the same price.
- Left/right: 37 curves are available for both sides, 52 for left shooters (LH) only and 27 for right shooters (RH) only. The filters "LH available" and "RH available" show you instantly what works for you.
Where this data comes from
- Availability and lie come from the current SOYUZ blade list (October 2026). Where the list gives no lie, the value from the SOYUZ technical drawing applies.
- The lie conversion (SOYUZ = CCM + 1) was measured by SOYUZ against CCM blades.
- The images are technical renderings of the SOYUZ blade shape, not photos. They show the shape, not the lie.
- Curve type, face and toe are a classification from the geometry, not measurements.
- Pro names are players who ordered this blade from SOYUZ. The NHL entry names a player known for the corresponding brand pattern – he does not play SOYUZ.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find out which curve I currently play?
Almost every brand prints the name on the blade itself, usually on the back near the heel. Typical names are "P92", "P28", "W03" or "TC2". If you can't find anything, send us a side photo of the blade and we'll identify it.
Why are there two numbers for the lie?
SOYUZ numbers the lie one point higher than CCM and Bauer. The first number is the CCM lie – use it to compare with your current stick. In brackets is the number printed on the SOYUZ blade. Example: Lie 6 (SOYUZ 7).
Is the SOYUZ P92 identical to the Bauer P92?
No, and that applies to all brand equivalents. It is the blade that comes closest to the Bauer P92 in bend, face and toe shape. Small differences in depth and lie remain.
Which curve suits beginners?
A mid curve with a moderate face, e.g. the P92 or the P29. Passes stay flat, wrist shots go high enough and the backhand stays controllable.
Can I order every curve on every model?
No. Each card shows under "Available for" which models and which shooting side are possible. 101 curves are available on the standard models, 25 on the Classic SPR.
I shoot left – is every curve available for me?
Not every one. 37 curves are available for both sides, 52 for left shooters only and 27 for right shooters only. Every card says "LH + RH", "LH only" or "RH only", and the "LH available" filter shows all matching blades.
Does a pro curve cost extra?
No. The price depends on model and size, not on the curve. Pro Custom has a minimum order of 3 sticks.
