Who is it for?
The intermediate version of the AURORA – for the transition from junior to senior, when the JR stick gets too short and too soft but the senior one is still too long. Low Kick and 365 g means: easy to handle, fast release, forgiving of technical mistakes. If height and weight are already heading towards senior, the AURORA in senior is the better choice.
Choosing flex and length
Which flex suits you?
As a rule of thumb, take about half your body weight in pounds. For the in-stock variant that means:
Cutting the stick down raises the flex by roughly 2 points per inch – a 65 quickly becomes a 67 or 69. If you are between two values, your shot type decides: if you shoot mostly on the move, take the softer one; if you go for hard shots from a standstill, take the stiffer one. Explained in detail in the hockey stick guide.
How is the length measured?
The stated length is the total length, measured with the blade – stand the stick upright against a wall with the blade tip on the floor. These in-stock sticks have a total length of 1560 mm (approx. 61.5") – intermediate length, recommended for players of about 150–168 cm. On the ice many players cut the stick down further to suit them.
