Who is it for?
The AURORA JR is made for juniors who want to shoot quickly: the low kickpoint flexes close to the blade and needs little force to load – ideal for wrist shots, snap shots and finishing on the move. If you want an all-rounder with a bit more power in the slap shot, take the HIT GRIT JR; the top model for juniors is the ARCANE JR. The AURORA in senior size is available here.
Choosing flex and length
Which flex suits you?
As a rule of thumb, take about half your body weight in pounds. For the in-stock flex values that means:
Cutting the stick down raises the flex by roughly 2 points per inch. With juniors in particular it pays to go a little softer: a shaft that is too stiff never bends in the shot – and that bend is exactly what creates speed. Explained in detail in the hockey stick guide.
How is the length measured?
The stated length is the total length, measured with the blade – stand the stick upright against a wall with the blade tip on the floor. The in-stock AURORA JR has a total length of 1520 mm (approx. 60"). That fits players of roughly 140 to 160 cm; as the child grows the stick cannot be extended, but it can easily be cut down.

Curves – P28 & P29
Which curves are available?
The P28 is an open toe curve with a pronounced toe hook – for players who handle the puck on the toe and finish on the move. The P29 is the most versatile shape in ice hockey and identical to the Bauer P92: open, medium curvature, round toe – strong for shooting, passing and puck handling. For juniors who are still developing, the P29 is usually the more forgiving choice.

Kickpoint Guide
What is a low kickpoint?
With a low kickpoint the shaft flexes in its lower section, close to the blade. The stick loads with little force and releases the puck very quickly – ideal for juniors who do not yet have the strength for a deep load.
