Throwback: Marcel Jenni's Bauer Vapor XXX Lite
Some sticks are instantly recognisable to anyone who played back then. The Bauer Vapor XXX Lite is one of them. White and yellow graphics, light, and still a Nike swoosh on the shaft – Bauer belonged to Nike at the time. We had Marcel Jenni's game stick in our hands. Time for a throwback spec check.

Why the XXX Lite is a cult stick
Before a new model arrived every season, individual sticks stayed the benchmark for years. The Vapor XXX Lite was one of them: light for its time, with lots of feel in the blade, and so distinctive that you could spot it on the ice from any distance. The swoosh on the shaft makes it a time capsule today.

Flex 95 and the shaft code
Under the name it reads 0570-3 · 95 · C. The 95 is the flex – on the stiff side, like many forwards of that generation who relied more on the slapshot and less on the quick wrist shot. The other characters are internal Bauer codes we can't decode reliably, so we leave them as they are.
Most pros play lower today. Which flex suits you is shown in our flex chart.

The blade: looks like a P92
There is no curve code on the stick. In shape it's a P92: mid curve, open face, rounded toe. We deliberately say "looks like" – without a code it can't be pinned down exactly. The P92 was the all-round curve back then and still is today. More in the P92/P29 guide.

The player
Marcel Jenni, born on 2 March 1974 in Zurich, won the Swiss title with HC Lugano in 1999 and the Swedish title with Färjestad BK in 2002. From 2005 to 2015 he played for the Kloten Flyers. He represented Switzerland at the 2002 and 2006 Olympics. Today he is an assistant coach of the Swiss national team, which won World Championship silver in 2024 and 2025.
Which SOYUZ matches?
The curve still exists today: the P92 (or the P29) on every SOYUZ from a single stick. For the shaft: the Vapor line is Bauer's low-kick shaft. At SOYUZ, the SOYUZ AURORA and the SOYUZ STD PRO match it – both low kick, but of course built far more modern than a stick from back then. More in the kick point guide.

Another classic: the Datsyuk curve. More Swiss players in the series: Denis Hollenstein, Andres Ambühl and Nico Hischier.
